If anyone has the idea that recalls are slow and not happening much, I can tell you that I receive information concerning massive numbers of recalls. I can only put so many here on the blog. There are definitely way more than I report to you. It would be in your and your family’s best interests to find the list of all the recalls that are happening here and in the other countries. It is a large list.
For the 15th and 14th, these are the ones that I have chosen to report on. Some of them will be almost a copy of the actual recall since there is so much info to be passed on. Here is a list:
1) Shindaiwa Corp. recalls BACKPACK BLOWERS. Voluntary recall. The fan can separate off and cause other parts to also separate from the casing. This causes the plastic parts to fly out of the blower and pose a hazard to people nearby. Injuries and lacerations are possible. At a previous time, these same blowers were recalled due to a fire hazard. There have been 13 incidents of injury. The model numbers involved are…Models EB8510 and EB8510RT. These machines are black and blue with a red and black label that reads, “EB8510, Shindaiwa.” STOP USING THE BACKPACK BLOWERS IMMEDIATELY!! For more information please contact Shindaiwa at (800) 521-7733 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.shindaiwa.com
