Welcome back!

Maybe I am obsessing about this laptop a bit. Maybe not. I know that I want one. It is very high on my priority list. Unfortunately, a lot of other things and people are higher so getting one has been a bit of difficult, to say the least. But I can dream, can’t I? Okay, having said that, I will tell you my dream machine. It is a beauty too. For one thing, I have not seen more than one or two bad reviews about this particular machine. That says a lot since most of the others I looked at did have negative reviews a plenty.

What laptop, you ask? Okay, I will tell you right now. I want an Acer. It will be either an Aspire or Extensa with a 17 in. monitor. Of course, it will have to have a big computer memory chip in it since all the new computers have the vista thing in them. I hate that. I do not want that particular program installed in my computer because it is a memory hog. It takes up way too much memory for what it can do. If you were to buy a laptop with only 1 gig of memory, you would need to upgrade even before you started it. I hate that. So, it would be good to have the computer memory that you need right from the start.

Acer is a good brand. However for a windows laptop I would recommend Lenovo. They are about the best PC laptop manufacturer out there with the best support I have encountered.

But if you are feeling open minded. I would recommend an Apple MacBook Pro. They look beautiful, and are lightning fast. If you don’t like the mac operating system, then just install windows. And if you do like the mac OS, then you have the best of both worlds.

The MacBook Pro was rated the BEST laptop as far as speed goes for windows Vista in 2007. They have just been updated so you now get multitouch as well along with a Penryn processor.

Wow to everything. Never heard of Lenovo before. And I have never been interested in Mac at all. But that sounds interesting. I will be checking all that out. Thank you very much!!!

I did look at these things. Uh, frankly I don’t have the money it takes for such things. I need to find a laptop that is inexpensive and works great! Both of those things have to be there. That was why I thought about the Acer.

I did look at the Mac. The big problem there is that Mac uses nothing but Mac programs. It would not work with our other computers. Okay, we could install windows. But the only one I could possibly afford is the mini. Not going there. :(

Ditto on the Lenovo. Nice machine all right. It gets a bit pricey though.

I am sure the recommendations are great for someone who has enough money to invest in such machines. But right now, especially with gas prices and food prices, I can barely afford the laptop I do want when I actually am able to get it. :(

But I do thank you and someone will be able to do something with what was recommended, I am certain. :)
