I absolutely hate to admit it but I need clothes that are larger, a LOT larger. Yes, I am a large woman who needs clothes just like the next person. And it is so hard to find affordable, good looking clothes that do not cost an arm and a leg. What am I talking about? Well, you have heard of plus size clothing, right? The problem I have is that you cannot just go anywhere to get this. Sometimes, a discount store might carry some but it’s unlikely. Yes, they do have the lower sizes but not the larger ones. Some of us need more room, don’t ya know.

One of these days, I am just going to get into those sweats I wear and go find some really awesome clothes. Well, I could always lose some weight first, then go looking for clothes. Actually, that would probably be the better solution but I do love to window shop, hence the name…Window Shopper!! I love it!!!

Happy Shopping!

Not to abuse a cliche, but I feel your pain. I have the double curse of being fat AND tall. All clothing designers for men seem to think us fat guys are all about 5′8″ tall, so the pants all have 116″ waists and a 20″ inseams, like they were designed for clowns. The shirts are only marginally better; they are big enough around to smuggle a beer keg in, but half the time are only long enough to reach my belly button.

I know exactly what you mean. My husband is 6ft 3in and is large too. It’s very difficult to find good fitting clothes for him outside of sweats and whatever else fits just about anyone. I’m sorry you are having that problem. Maybe some day the manufacturers will get a clue that people are getting bigger each year.

I too wear plus sized clothing, but have found some sources of nice stuff that doesn’t cost a fortune. Blair, Woman Within and Silhouettes all have plus sized clothing and a lot of it with pockets (I HAVE to have pockets).

Midnight Velvet has really pretty stuff, but it’s a bit pricey so only buy formal dresses and outfits from them.

I’m also fortunate enough to have a consignment shop close by that carries plus sized clothing. It’s a godsend!

That would be great! We do not have such a thing here in the back woods of the state. :)

Thanks for your comment! I will find what I need. It just takes time.
