Pizza Hut Online: What A Waste Of My Time

Today, I decided to try out the Pizza Hut Online website. We received coupons in the mail that stated they had online capability. While it may be normal and even easy for you with a larger version computer, my computer had problems. It was extremely slow loading. It was extremely slow with virtually everything. And it kept wanting things that it did not specify. For instance, it wanted all numbers or all letters…..in what, we have no idea. It wasn’t the password. It wasn’t my name or address. We have no idea what it’s problem was.

I simply was not happy with the way the website operated. In fact, it was so bad that I completely nuked my signup and order. You have to understand that we live in a rural area where this particular store does not deliver at all. But we could have a carryout. They have only quite recently offered internet ordering for this area. Yes, I do know. Archaic, right? But that’s the way it is out here in rural America.

The problem that we see is that the page is loaded with flash which does not do well on my computer. Because of that, the site was too slow for literally anything. It took the better part of 5 minutes to load from the front page to the order page. It went downhill from there. That is not good for anyone wanting to order anytime this century. We have wasted most of an hour trying to get this to work. The next step is to bypass the website altogether and call them like we usually do. And that’s the way it is today.

EDIT NOTE: I should tell you that we have DSL so it should not have taken so long.

  Yes, we would have appreciated that too but unfortunately the PH does not do those anytime except lunch. In the meanwhile, we will finally do something about it someday. We have coupons!!!

Yes the coupons are at the Pizza Hut buffet section and i got the coupons!!

Ha..ha..ha. It really wasted ur time… Hmm… U can go over Pizza Hut and claim a free Pizza for ur loose.

Oh, the days of pizza delivery!!!! Mmmmm. Heck, we could even have Chinese delivered before we moved out to the boonies. Now it’s “Got milk??” 15 miles from an kind of takeout, and it’s just nasty fried JoJo potatoes and stuff. 35 miles to good sit-down Chinese. OK, I’m going to stop complaining now. We love it out here. Just the pizza delivery loss still grates on my nerves.

  Oh, I know what you mean. The ONLY Chinese place within about 60 miles was torn apart with the tornado we had in Feb. Pizza delivery here is around but not PH. They do not deliver here at all.
  
  And the other two pizza places are so expensive that I doubt we will be going there anytime soon.
  
  Take out is exactly that. We get no deliveries of any sort. So I definitely understand your situation. I was going to say pain but the truth is that it’s an inconvenience, not pain.

  I do too but not their website!!!! Do not like that at all. Too much flash! Stops my computer cold for at least 5 minutes. No thanks.

completely agree! and what’s more, i’ve ordered twice from their site and both times they’ve taken over an hour to arrive with my (cold) pizza. i don’t think they even check for online orders.

  PH is our only real option here in the rural area but they do not deliver and I am beginning to think that’s a GOOD idea that they do not.
  
  When we order from them, the pizza is nice and hot but we do have to pick it up.
