Wordless Wednesday on Wednesday

Once again, due to someone who has decided that my WORDLESS WEDNESDAY post is not up to what they want, I am posting words on that Wordless Wednesday. It appears that I need to comment on this picture which is one that represents what I saw in Amarillo some years ago. At that time, the cars were not painted as they are. They simply were cars that the owner had buried in that manner because of the “lemon” he purchased and did not receive satisfaction from the place he purchased it.

So, in an effort to show his dislike for the place he bought the car, he buried it with part of it sticking out of the ground. That was so popular, he decided to do it with every car after that, having bought a new car every two years. Since then, it appears that people have come along and painted them. Not great, in my opinion.

I think I’ve seen those on tv before. Neat shot!

Yes, I used to go by those cars every week or so for several years when I worked on the road all the time. They have only been painted after I stopped going by. Before that, they were the color they were when he buried them.

      Thanks for visiting!

You can tell they’re ready to harvest when the wheels start falling off. LOL Interesting pic!
