Remember the old television game show called Password? Allen Ludden, Betty White’s husband, was the original host for the show. When he died in 1981, they took the show to syndication with Tom Kennedy and Bert Convy.
And now, CBS is reviving the show with a new host, Regis Philbin. This one is called Million Dollar Password and will have two teams consisting of a celebrity and a contestant. They will try to guess the password which is only revealed to the audience and the home viewers. The winning team can keep their winnings or try for the top prize of a million dollars.
It appears that those who are producing the show will tape six shows and they will air sometime at the beginning of next year. Can Regis do it again? CBS sure hopes so.
