All I have been thinking about is replacing furniture tonight. It will eventually make me crazy because when I thought about replacing the bed, it reminded me of when we were first married. Actually, it was our anniversary today so it was a natural that I would think about it. Of course, I was not the svelte person I wanted to be on my wedding day, not by a long shot. Nope, I was really…not like that at all.

When I thought about our honeymoon, it did occur to me to pack some sexy lingerie but then I realized that it would be a total joke if I wore that. Eventually, I just went with what I always had on hand and that was pretty cool too. Not telling. Our honeymoon was a total success and it was amazing too. Now I simply think about when the garbage goes out. 12 years of marriage. *grin*

I was just thinking again….bad thing for me because then I think of things I want…or have to have. This time I was thinking that if we were going to replace the office stuff, I might want to get a new bedroom set too. Ah, now there is an idea that will grow. Our bed is at least 14 years old, for crying out loud.

So, then I had to figure out what kind of stuff I want. I do check with my husband but he just wants something that looks like a bed and a dresser. Humph. I decided to see about what those modern platform beds might do for our room. Not bad at all. I don’t know. Maybe we can just move and leave it all behind and start again. Think that will work? Probably not. Somebody is sure to get the cops out to write a ticket for littering.

For the billionth time, I am wishing I had a laptop computer. The problem is that I cannot sit in the chair I currently own for more than a little while. Blogging takes up hours of the day, if you do it right. Someday, I have GOT to get some office furniture that works for me…and my posterior. My husband does not seem to have the same problems I do with regard to sitting for a while. Yet, he could also use the more advanced form of sitting, a good chair.

Like I said, one of these days, we will be able to get new office furniture but it won’t be until we can receive a better income. HA! It’s a vicious circle, isn’t it. I knew it!! We will end up biting the bullet and get some better chairs for certain. Then, we can work harder than ever. *groan* Not sure that’s a pretty picture either.

As I have said in the past, I do love bloopers on television. All those old shows, the game shows, the news and so many others. But, the ones that seem to have the most impact with me these days are the news bloopers. A lot of this has to do with the viewers need to see people hurting themselves or each other. I do not go in for those at all. If any of these have that in them, I didn’t notice it. I do not care for that television show that shows all the falls and spills that people do for extremely foolish reasons.

But, there are some totally funny videos and this is one of them:

If you would like to see any particular videos on here, please leave a comment. Thanks!!

(I just had to post this. Too funny not to.)

I will warn you up front that if you listen to this recording that a radio station has of a guy witnesses an accident, you will laugh…sometimes hysterically. Or not. I really don’t know. Perhaps you ate a persimmon earlier and won’t laugh at all. But I have to tell you that the laughing is infectious. If you do not believe me, then by all means, listen. If you hate to laugh, I would bypass this little deal.

Morning Show Bits

If that didn’t do it, I have no idea what would.

Wordless Wednesday on Wednesday

Once again, due to someone who has decided that my WORDLESS WEDNESDAY post is not up to what they want, I am posting words on that Wordless Wednesday. It appears that I need to comment on this picture which is one that represents what I saw in Amarillo some years ago. At that time, the cars were not painted as they are. They simply were cars that the owner had buried in that manner because of the “lemon” he purchased and did not receive satisfaction from the place he purchased it.

So, in an effort to show his dislike for the place he bought the car, he buried it with part of it sticking out of the ground. That was so popular, he decided to do it with every car after that, having bought a new car every two years. Since then, it appears that people have come along and painted them. Not great, in my opinion.

One thing that a modern day business needs is to get into the twenty first century. Most people who buy products really want to know about the details of the product like how it works, how long it will work, what accessories does it need, where is it and so many more questions. Thing is, most businesses need to field those questions one way or another. A lot of them have a customer service line. But, have you ever tried to get through on those things? I have. Bad news. The thing is busy, busy, busy and it takes FOREVER to sit on the phone waiting. At that point, you wonder if they have forgotten you. I have actually been forgotten on hold. I hate hold. Some have gone to support chat online.

It’s really hard for small companies to get started these days. Costs so much. So, coming up with any type of customer support is going to be too expensive so they hire some person to come in who has no idea what the product is or any other information about it. This one fields the questions. But you know what’s going to happen. On the other hand, if a start up company had a support chat online, it would take a bad situation and turn it to the good.

LiveHuman can do this for those companies that want to get ahead quickly. They have a support chat software service that will bring the company and the customer closer together than ever before. Sounds expensive, right? Not at all. LiveHuman service is available for as low as $13 a month per operator on a yearly contract. You can now shout..”Is that ALL?” The answer is YES! They can talk to their customers in real time. That is so important that the customer feels that the company cares about their problems and questions. There is no obligation to the customer but questions answered make for happy clients. The chat window is even customizable to your particular needs.

It has been so many years since I had heard this man’s songs but I found this tonight. I always loved Neil Sedaka’s songs because I could actually understand them. You know what it’s like to listen to a song over and over again before you get all the words, right? That’s what I usually had to do with some of those singers even in the 1960s. This was in 1966. The singer is Neil Sedaka and the song is “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do”.

And if you would rather see the more modern video, here is a later version of the same song with Neil Sedaka on piano.

If you enjoyed this and would like others on this blog, please put your requests in the comments section. Happy Shopping!!

Some years ago, my aunt and uncle moved out to California. None of us could believe that they even wanted to do that but they did go out there for a few years. As a kid, I believed everything I heard on the radio and television since I just “knew they wouldn’t lie”. So, I really did believe that my aunt, uncle and cousins would fall off into the ocean when the “big one” hit. That’s earthquake to those who have lived somewhere else for years.

But that never did happen. They ended up staying for quite a while and once in a while, they would send things to us about where they were living and places around them that would be great places to sightsee and places to stay. The one that I recall from somewhere is one of those brochures from a Mendocino bed and breakfast that sounded pretty cool. After all, you get your breakfast in bed, right? They bring it up on a tray. It’s full of goodies and stuff that anyone would love like candy, waffles, pancakes and things like that. I told you I believed what people said to me too, right? That’s what I was told by my cousins. Did they lie to me?
