« One More Recall—And China Is Involved Again | I Found A Great New Place »

Welcome back!

I used to own a 1965 Ford pickup and, frankly, I wish I still had the thing. It was an oldie but a goodie. After my ex got a hold of her, she looked like a spotted leopard (primer paint without doing anything else–the guy was as clueless as it gets). All I wanted to do was make her look pretty…well, for a pickup. That truck had been strictly on a farm working at hard tasks. It was time she got a little respect and some good looking stuff on her.

Now, had I been able to do what I wanted, she would have had a bright new paint job. Something really nice in metalic blue. Of course, she would have been chromed out including the wire wheels and great tires. But the really nice thing about her would have been her tonneau cover. You ever see these things? They match the paint on the pickup and cover the bed of the pickup so that it really looks classy.

Alas, I did not get to do all that to her…by this time her name was Spotty..guess why. She looked a bit peaked. But she was a good truck. I don’t want to tell you what happened to her. Let’s just say that she left my care before I knew it. I miss Spotty.
